Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VeridAI mobile application and the website at veridai.app (together, the "Service"), provided by Foxar Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17160803, registered office 27 Tremayne Road, Nottingham, NG8 4HQ).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Important — VeridAI does not provide legal advice. VeridAI is an informational tool that uses artificial intelligence to help you understand documents. It is not a law firm, it is not a substitute for a qualified lawyer or solicitor, and using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. AI-generated output may be incomplete or incorrect. Always seek advice from a qualified legal professional before making decisions or signing any document.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are able to enter into a binding agreement.
2. The Service
VeridAI lets you upload or scan documents and uses artificial intelligence to provide summaries, analysis and answers to questions about them. The Service is offered in several languages and across different subscription tiers (Free, Ad-Free and Premium). We may add, change or remove features at any time.
3. Not legal advice and no reliance
The content generated by VeridAI is provided for general information only. It does not constitute legal advice, and you should not rely on it as such. AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete or misleading results, and may misinterpret the meaning or legal effect of a document. You are solely responsible for any decision you make, and we strongly recommend consulting a qualified legal professional regarding any specific contract or legal matter.
4. Your account
To use certain features you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please notify us promptly at support@veridai.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Subscriptions, billing and refunds
- Tiers. The Service offers a Free tier (with advertising) and paid Ad-Free and Premium tiers with additional features and usage limits.
- Billing. Paid subscriptions are sold and billed through the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, depending on your device. Prices are shown before you purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time through your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled in accordance with the refund policy of the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, and your statutory rights. We do not separately control payments made through these stores.
6. Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of the documents and content you upload ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited licence to process, transmit and store it solely to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the right to upload Your Content and that doing so does not infringe the rights of any third party or breach any confidentiality obligation. You are responsible for ensuring you are permitted to share any document you submit.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is malicious or unlawful;
- attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
- use the Service to build or train a competing product, or to scrape or extract data at scale;
- misrepresent the Service's output as professional legal advice to others.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including the VeridAI name, logo, software, design and content (other than Your Content), is owned by Foxar Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose or availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any AI-generated output will be accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.
Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service;
- we are not liable for any decision you make, or action you take or fail to take, in reliance on AI-generated output;
- our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service during that period and £50.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Foxar Ltd from any claims, losses or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, though provisions that by their nature should survive (such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers and liability) will remain in effect.
13. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, although if you are a consumer resident elsewhere you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in your country of residence and benefit from any mandatory protections of its law.
